    Savasana or Corpse Pose

To truly experience the benefits of your asana practice, you should relax your body and mind in Savasana or Shavasana, sometimes referred to as corpse pose, which is done while lying on your back. You close your eyes, take a deep breath, and work on relaxing your body throughout this pose. This position should be held for 10 to 20 minutes.

No yoga session is finished without the final posture of relaxation. Despite being a resting posture, Savasana or Corpse Pose is not the same as sleeping. Throughout the five to ten minutes of final relaxation, you should make an effort to stay alert and in the moment.

How to do Savasana or Shavasana

    • With your legs apart, lie on your back.
    • Keep your arms by your sides, palms upward, and be calm.
    • Put your eyes closed and take a few slow, deep breaths.
    • From your head to your feet, start focusing. Do not proceed without first relaxing a certain body portion.
    • Imagine your body being completely relaxed as you breathe in and out. Allow your worry, depression, and tension to depart with each breath. You can hold this position for three to five minutes.

Benefits of Savasana or Corpse Pose

    • Savasana increases blood flow.
    • It assists with stress reduction.
    • Savasana increases stamina.
    • Helps your muscles to relax.
    • Savasana eases headache pain.
    • Helpful for people with diabetes and indigestion.

    What is Jnana Yoga?

What is Jnana Yoga? Jnana, which means “knowledge or wisdom” in Sanskrit, describes the practice of meditation, self-examination, and contemplation as a means of gaining knowledge of the true nature of reality.

Ancient Hindu literature that promotes freedom from suffering, the Bhagavad Gita, first introduced the idea of Jnana yoga. While the continuous study of the texts is a component of Jnana yoga, it is not just theoretical; it also includes the practical, experiential knowledge that comes from meditation practice.

    Four Pillars of Jnana Yoga

Viveka – The Sanskrit word “Viveka” denotes judgment and impartiality.

Vairagya – Vairagya is Sanskrit for “passionless detachment”.

Shatsampat – The six characteristics of mental practice known as “Shatsampat” are meant to bring about mental equilibrium and discipline.

Mumukshutva – Mumukshutva is Russian for yearning or longing.

    How to do Jnana Yoga

The Jnana Yoga Path means acquiring knowledge, processing it, and grasping it while simultaneously separating the ego from the Self in order to arrive at self-knowledge. One becomes stronger and gets closer to purity when they let rid of their ego.

    Benefits of Jnana Yoga

The goal of Jnana yoga is to understand the eternal in its sublime aspect. The focus of Jnana yoga is on the separation of natural phenomena and all temporal phenomena from pure awareness. The atman, the true Self that is apart from the body and the mind, is what the Jnana yogi endeavors to discover.

Adho Mukha Svanasana | Downward Dog Pose – Benefits of Adho Mukha Svanasana

Adho Mukha Svanasana, one of yoga’s most well-known postures, stretches the entire body while strengthening the core and enhancing circulation.

You’ll try to practice Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Dog Pose) multiple times over the course of your yoga career.

Downward Dog Pose is a balance between stretching and strengthening, so doing it regularly helps improve your body’s balance and improve flexibility all around. Just be careful and mindful when doing it because it could feel difficult if your shoulders or hamstrings are uncomfortable. Being flexible calls for caution to prevent collapse in the lower back and shoulders.

    Benefits of Adho Mukha Svanasana

After sports and activities like jogging, the downward dog pose might improve your recovery. It enhances posture, circulates more blood, and minimizes the serious impacts of extended sitting.

    • Improves your upper back, chest, shoulders, arms, wrists, and the quadriceps on the front of your thighs.
    • Extends the muscles along your spine, the hamstrings in the backside of your thighs, the glutes in your buttocks, the palm sides of your wrists, and the soles of your feet.

Adho Mukha Svanasana Steps (Downward Dog Pose)

    1. Hold on to your four limbs, that is, your arms, knees, and feet.
    2. Now, while exhaling, lift your knees off the ground while keeping your toes firmly planted. Knees and elbows should remain straight.
    3. Then extend your arms in front of you to maintain a forward tilt in your upper body.
    4. Lift your hips up as high as you can, creating an inverted V with your body.
    5. Stretch your neck while keeping your inner arms close to your ears and pressing your arms firmly into the ground.
    6. Now turn your back and look at your novel.
    7. After a few periods of holding the position, return to the beginning position by bending your knees and lowering your body.

What do you understand by the term Adhi in Yoga?

The Pali word “Adhi” means “higher” or “better.” Adhi yoga is a wonderful combination of planets that is very essential if it appears in a birth chart since, in Vedic astrology, yoga refers to a set of planets.
The term Adhi in yoga is believed to be a form of raja yoga, which means “king” or something very similar. Raja yogas are any planetary alignments that denote authority, dominance, or great fortune.

    When was Adhi Yoga formed?

The Adhi Yoga is formed when planets are positioned in the sixth, seventh, and eighth houses from the Lagna, ascendant (the first house), or moon. Adhi yoga can be one of three forms depending on whether a benefic, malefic, or both planets are present in the house:

    • Paap Adhi Yoga
    • Subha Adhi Yoga
    • Mixed Adhi Yoga
