What yoga to avoid during pregnancy?

Yoga has many advantages for pregnant women, such as strengthening the pelvic floor and preparing the body for labor, but there are some yoga asanas you should avoid.
Simply put, when you are carrying a growing child, your body is different. To create room for your growing uterus, your inside organs stretch and squeeze together. Additionally, the hormone cocktail in your blood causes your body to behave and feel very differently than it could normally.

When it comes to your practicing yoga, it’s important to think about both your own safety and the safety of your developing kid. With a few important adjustments, you can happily carry on yoga practice throughout your pregnancy.

Here are some yoga to avoid during pregnancy given below:

Prenatal yoga is given by fitness professionals, if you are pregnant, you might be excited to start your yoga class. However, it is essential to take any necessary safety measures. While some yoga poses are safe to perform throughout pregnancy, keep in mind that not all poses are safe for pregnant mothers. Therefore, it’s a good idea to start by learning everything there is to know about prenatal yoga if you’re new to the practice.

Can yoga help in reducing hair fall?

Yoga and meditation, in addition to providing a good diet and adequate hydration, help in reducing hair fall and promote healthy hair development. This is in addition to the advantages for general physical and mental wellness. Yoga promotes digestion, increases blood flow to the scalp, and lowers stress and anxiety levels.

Yoga Asanas alone cannot solve the problem of hair loss. Pranayama must also be practiced. Sarvangasana must be practiced initially to avoid hair loss, followed by Sirsasana once Sarvangasana is perfected. Spend five minutes in Shavasana after the asanas to relax. For the next two minutes, sit in the savasana position and concentrate only on your breathing. You must then perform anulom vilom pranayama. Three Nadis are present in human bodies, according to the Patanjali Yoga Sutra. Normal life is governed by two nadis, “ida” and “pingla,” and one secret Nadi, “Sushumna,” which serves as our life’s axis. Alternating between the two nadis during anulom vilom promotes blood purification and healthy blood flow.

These 10 poses of yoga for reducing hair fall will give you a longer, stronger mane as evidence that yoga is also effective for increasing hair growth:

    • Downward Facing Dog Pose or Adho Mukha Savasana
    • Head Stand Pose or Sirsasana
    • Thunderbolt Pose or Vajrasana
    • Shoulder Stand Pose or Sarvangasana
    • Forward Bending Camel Pose or Uttanasana
    • Back Bending Camel Pose or Ustrasana

Can we eat after doing yoga?

No, You should not eat after doing yoga.  It’s not a good idea to eat straight after practicing yoga. Instead, wait until the right nostril becomes dominant after the practice, or give yourself a nice half-hour interval.

If one wants to get the full benefits of yoga, they should practice it first thing in the morning and on an empty stomach. It makes sense that one would wake up with an empty stomach. For the evening session, one must do it when they are feeling light on his/her stomach. Depending on the type and quantity of food consumed at lunch, this means 3 to 4 hours after eating. In this case, “what” refers to the meal and how difficult it is to digest, and “how much” relates to the amount. However, keeping the distance between yoga and getting something would also depend on the person’s age. A teenager’s stomach may seem like it’s emptying earlier than an older person.

Yoga practitioners are advised to eat light meals. Food should be mild on the stomach and consumed in moderation. One is advised to divide their stomach into four equal halves. Half of the stomach should be occupied by food, and the other half should be vacant to make room for air. One fourth of the stomach should be reserved for water.

According to Ayurveda Meal, items can be categorized in three types:

    • Sattvic: Rajasic and Tamsic are balanced to form Sattvic. hence, brings about bodily balance.
    • Rajasic: which causes unnecessary physical restlessness and passion in mind.
    • Tamsic: which excessively dulls and makes you sluggish or lazy.
