सांस को गति के साथ जोड़ने के अर्थ में, उन्हें व्यापक रूप से विनयसा के वास्तुकार के रूप में गिना जाता है। उन्होंने योग के जिस तरीके को डिजाइन किया, उसे विनियोग या विनयसा कर्म योग कहा जाता है। कृष्णमाचार्य की शिक्षाएं “एक व्यक्ति के लिए क्या उपयुक्त है उसे सिखाएं” का सिद्धांत थीं।
