Why is yoga so slow in showing results?

Why is yoga so slow: The thing is, why do you want to see results so quickly? Nothing comes easily and whatever comes fast, goes fast. It takes practice, over time, to reset your old set behaviours, reactions and thoughts. It takes time, for you to gain muscle memory, for your body to build strength, mobility and flexibility.

No yoga, no exercise, no meditation, no diet, no counselling, nothing gives instant results in this world. Everything takes time, you just have to be consistent, hardworking and motivated.

    • It takes years for a seed to become a fruit bearing tree.
    • It takes 9 months for a woman to give birth to a child.
    • It takes 10+ years of education for a person to become employable.

Yoga is not slow, yoga is the flow. It’s hard I know. It takes time. It’s probably not the answer you want to hear. These days all people want to hear are yes, I have the pill to your problem, take it and it solves everything. But Yoga is not like that, by the way every single pill has side effects, and often solve the symptoms, not the ROOT of the problems.

    What is samadhi in yoga?

Samadhi in Yoga – Sitting and standing still during meditation helps you learn to let go of all extraneous thoughts that take up your mind. In this stage, you will be completely detached from the material world, and focused solely on your merging with greater spiritual power. This is called Samadhi in Yogic philosophy. With Samadhi in Yoga, you’ll achieve a complete stilling of the mind to be completely unified with your body and cosmic energy.

Ashtanga yoga is a form of yoga based on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and was transmitted from one sage (rishis) to others. In the 8-fold path of yoga, Samadhi is considered among the internal limbs of yoga (along with Dharana and Dhyana). Samadhi refers to the state of Yoga where a person experiences complete concentration and absorption in what they are doing.

How to practice samadhi in yoga?

Samadhi cannot be practiced. It happens spontaneously just like meditation, and there is no effort involved. One cannot forcefully practice Samadhi. We have to start from the process of Dharana or concentration with effort and in due course of time experience Dhyana or a state of meditation, which occurs spontaneously. In Dharana (concentration), there is focus and effort, and in Dhyana (meditation) there is de-focus, relaxation, and effortlessness. In Samadhi, there is a sudden jump from the state of Dhyana or meditation into a state of total absorption in the object of meditation, where the knower, knowing, and known merges into one conscious reality. This is totally effortless.

    Types of Samadhi Yoga

    • Sabija Samadhi
    • Samprajnata Samadhi
      • Samvirtarka Samadhi
      • Samvichara Samadhi
      • Ananda
      • Asmita
    • Asamprajnata Samadhi
      • Nirvirtarka Samadhi
      • Nirvichara Samadhi
      • Transition from Ananda to Asmita
      • Transition from Asmita to Nirbija Samadhi
    • Nirbija Samadhi
    • Dharma Megha Samadhi

A vinyasa is a smooth transition between asanas in styles of modern yoga such as Vinyasa Yoga, Karma Yoga, Bikram Yoga, and Ashtanga Yoga. Vinyasa is also a yoga pose. Vinyasas bring strength and flexibility to the body.

Vinyasa means to link or bind with, or to place in a special way.  Most commonly it is used in yoga as the process of linking breath and movement in asana practice. In fact, Vinyasa is the Sanskrit term for Asana (Posture).

Yoga poses and asanas are different names for the same thing. The Sanskrit word vinyasa came from the prefix vi, which means variation, and the suffix Nyasa, which means “within prescribed parameters.” Srivatsa Ramaswami, a student of Krishnamacharya for more than thirty years.

Here are a few examples of vinyasa yoga poses, so let’s take a look.

    • Plank or Chaturanga
    • Downward-facing dog, one-legged dog, knee to nose
    • Chair pose, boat pose

Vinyasa is all about moving your body using yoga poses and yoga asanas in a rhythmic way. You can do it at a fast pace or a slower pace depending on your level of interest and energy. Vinyasa is great for athletic people.

People who practice eye yoga are often hoping to improve eyesight by yoga, treat symptoms of dry eye, and decrease eye strain. The eyes, despite being among the most important organs in the body, are often taken for granted. While eyesight issues were once thought to be associated with old age, it is not the case anymore. Nowadays, young people and even children have weak eyes.

Practicing these yoga eye exercises given below regularly for a few months can help a person get healthy eyes. Also, Practising Tratak on a flame, the sun, the moon, or even on a black spot (Bindu Tratak) reduces the chances of blindness and weakened eyesight. What is the best time to do yoga?

Best time to do yoga – Yoga is a spiritual as well as a physical authority that can be helpful at any time of the day. The morning person would appreciate the stimulating effect of several asanas to protest off the day, while slow risers would inversely profit from a gentle morning practice that gradationally wakes up body and mind.
Utmost people find a practice session in the morning to be amping and refreshing — the ideal way to start a day. Others practice yoga asanas to decompress after an exciting day has taken its risk on the body and mind.

Importance of yoga in the morning

It goes without saying that you’re more likely to get a yoga session done if you record it in the morning. Indeed if you aren’t the morning type, the morning might be the best time to do yoga for you. It’s surely stylish to make sure you exercise in the morning, and if you can manage to include a session in the evening too, that’s a bonus. However, a yoga poses practice routine is a must If you want to make steady progress in your asana practice. You’ll notice a pronounced enhancement in your inflexibility and your body’s responsiveness.

Benefits of yoga in the evening

If your mornings are rushed with you slightly making it out the door on time. Or with all the time in the world, if you still need an hour or two to get going in the morning, a morning yoga asanas practice may not be the thing for you. Rehearsing suitable yoga poses in the evening can help ease the stress of day and night wakefulness. It can indeed turn into a bedtime routine that can get your mind and body refreshed, helping you fall asleep briskly. Belting up your yoga practice with contemplation can further prepare your mind and body for deep sleep. Regular evening practice can also help with unhealthy practices that you’re trying to avoid – similar to snacking or watching TV. It’s surely a better idea to exercise yoga.
