What do you understand by the term Adhi in Yoga?
The Pali word “Adhi” means “higher” or “better.” Adhi yoga is a wonderful combination of planets that is very essential if it appears in a birth chart since, in Vedic astrology, yoga refers to a set of planets.
The term Adhi in yoga is believed to be a form of raja yoga, which means “king” or something very similar. Raja yogas are any planetary alignments that denote authority, dominance, or great fortune.
When was Adhi Yoga formed?
The Adhi Yoga is formed when planets are positioned in the sixth, seventh, and eighth houses from the Lagna, ascendant (the first house), or moon. Adhi yoga can be one of three forms depending on whether a benefic, malefic, or both planets are present in the house:
