What are Astha Siddhi?
The 8 Ashta Siddhis are Anima, Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakamya, Isitva, and Vasitva, as represented by the word Ashta, which means eight in Sanskrit. Each siddhi regulates a particular personality aspect or natural phenomenon, and acquiring them all results in a special talent that sets them separate from other siddhis.
During reading Hanuman Chalisa, you must have read this line “अष्ट सिद्धि नव निधि के दाता” Possibly you’ve thought what this sentence means.
Ashta Siddhis (अष्ट सिद्धियां) defines as eight types of power. The power acquired by establishing oneself as the perfect one or Atman (आत्मन) is known as siddhi.
How can I get Astha Siddhi?
According to Acharya Charaka, the relationship of the yogi’s shuddha satva (pure mind, free of raja and tama, which pollute the mind) and soul enables him to achieve eight siddhis while engaging in yoga. Only those who do yoga and connect their pure mind with soul can get all eight siddhis.
Who is the one whom has Astha Siddhi?
Both Ganesha Ji and Hanuman Ji have ability to Ashta Siddhis and can provide it to others. The Ashta Siddhis (8 Divine Powers) are as follows: Anima: The ability to shrink to any desired size. Mahima: Exact reciprocal of Anihma.
