What is the science behind yoga?
Yoga is a spiritual practice that has been practiced in India for almost 5000 years. Its major goal is to help people develop their spiritual and mental potential. However, in these modern times of industrialization and our ultra-rapid lifestyles, yoga has become incredibly popular in the context of battling stress, anxiety, and depression.
In addition to its spiritual benefits, yoga’s physiological effects have recently become the subject of radical scientific research. Additionally, it regulates the rise and creation of bodily substances that have an impact on our mental, physical, and psychosomatically.
According to doctors, yoga is regarded by medical science as being beneficial to health. The coordination of the body and mind is yoga’s key component. The practice of yoga poses is crucial for disease prevention.
The World Health Organization (WHO) defined health as being “completely well physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually” in 1947.
