    Savasana or Corpse Pose

To truly experience the benefits of your asana practice, you should relax your body and mind in Savasana or Shavasana, sometimes referred to as corpse pose, which is done while lying on your back. You close your eyes, take a deep breath, and work on relaxing your body throughout this pose. This position should be held for 10 to 20 minutes.

No yoga session is finished without the final posture of relaxation. Despite being a resting posture, Savasana or Corpse Pose is not the same as sleeping. Throughout the five to ten minutes of final relaxation, you should make an effort to stay alert and in the moment.

How to do Savasana or Shavasana

    • With your legs apart, lie on your back.
    • Keep your arms by your sides, palms upward, and be calm.
    • Put your eyes closed and take a few slow, deep breaths.
    • From your head to your feet, start focusing. Do not proceed without first relaxing a certain body portion.
    • Imagine your body being completely relaxed as you breathe in and out. Allow your worry, depression, and tension to depart with each breath. You can hold this position for three to five minutes.

Benefits of Savasana or Corpse Pose

    • Savasana increases blood flow.
    • It assists with stress reduction.
    • Savasana increases stamina.
    • Helps your muscles to relax.
    • Savasana eases headache pain.
    • Helpful for people with diabetes and indigestion.

    Yoga poses for Insomnia

Yoga poses for insomnia can be useful if you struggle to achieve enough restful sleep. Yoga is believed to be effective in treating a variety of conditions, including insomnia and irregular sleep schedule.

There is a possibility that you might be aging more quickly than is healthy if you usually fight to achieve a full night’s sleep. Your thoughts may be clouded and unclear, and you might not exactly feel on top of the world. Our bodies heal at the cellular level and detoxify as we sleep. As a result, it’s vital to get at least six to eight hours of restful sleep every day.

When you are winding down after a long day, it is important to set out a few minutes to get ready for bed by making yourself and your body comfortable. You could always unwind with a restorative meditation practice or can try yoga for insomnia if you wanted to sit and gather calm before getting out of bed.

    Is yoga good for health?

The National Institutes of Health states that research indicates the benefits of yoga for managing stress, mental well-being, consciousness, good eating, losing weight, and peaceful sleep.

In the latest generations, yoga has experienced a sharp increase in popularity. Countless health advantages of yoga have been scientifically verified, and both celebrities and medical professionals are accepting and encouraging it. It’s important to first define yoga before looking at its benefits. Some consider it as a sequence of difficult positions, while others consider it as an old-fashioned form of training.

However, the exact meaning of the term “yoga” is “union.” It is a form of exercise that combines the body, mind, and spirit through a variety of physical positions, meditation, and controlled breathing.

    Benefits of yoga for health

Yoga has many advantages, and I’d like to list a few of them.

    • You may help to promote overall health by lowering stress, encouraging positive lifestyle choices, and improving mental/emotional health, rest, and stability.
    • Reduce neck and low back discomfort, maybe tension headaches, and knee osteoarthritis pain.
    • Motivate people who are overweight or obese to lose weight.
    • Assist people in controlling the symptoms of anxiety or sadness caused by hard moments in their lives.
    • Menopause symptoms should be lessened.
    • Help people with chronic illnesses deal with their symptoms and enhance their standard of living.

    What is Jnana Yoga?

What is Jnana Yoga? Jnana, which means “knowledge or wisdom” in Sanskrit, describes the practice of meditation, self-examination, and contemplation as a means of gaining knowledge of the true nature of reality.

Ancient Hindu literature that promotes freedom from suffering, the Bhagavad Gita, first introduced the idea of Jnana yoga. While the continuous study of the texts is a component of Jnana yoga, it is not just theoretical; it also includes the practical, experiential knowledge that comes from meditation practice.

    Four Pillars of Jnana Yoga

Viveka – The Sanskrit word “Viveka” denotes judgment and impartiality.

Vairagya – Vairagya is Sanskrit for “passionless detachment”.

Shatsampat – The six characteristics of mental practice known as “Shatsampat” are meant to bring about mental equilibrium and discipline.

Mumukshutva – Mumukshutva is Russian for yearning or longing.

    How to do Jnana Yoga

The Jnana Yoga Path means acquiring knowledge, processing it, and grasping it while simultaneously separating the ego from the Self in order to arrive at self-knowledge. One becomes stronger and gets closer to purity when they let rid of their ego.

    Benefits of Jnana Yoga

The goal of Jnana yoga is to understand the eternal in its sublime aspect. The focus of Jnana yoga is on the separation of natural phenomena and all temporal phenomena from pure awareness. The atman, the true Self that is apart from the body and the mind, is what the Jnana yogi endeavors to discover.

Yoga Sirsasana – How to do Sirsasana Yoga Pose

The Yoga Sirsasana, also known as the Headstand Pose, is the most difficult of all the asanas because it requires balancing on the head or crown. It is an advanced yoga pose that should only be performed with the supervision of a yoga teacher. This stance is particularly well-liked due to its various health benefits. It accelerates blood circulation and assures the brain receives enough well-oxygenated blood.

    How to do Sirsasana Yoga

    1. Get down on your hands and knees with your knees placed beneath your hips and your wrists under your shoulders.
    2. Keep your elbows positioned just beneath your shoulders as you lower your forearms to the ground.
    3. Join hands by surrounding the opposing elbow. Make any necessary adjustments to maintain shoulder-width separation of your elbows.
    4. Your hands should be liberated from your elbows.
    5. Put your hands on the floor and spliced your fingers (To prevent it from being squashed, tuck your bottom pinky into the basket of your hand).
    6. Your head should be on the ground. Your head should be down at the very top, neither leaning forward nor backward. Instead of your hands holding your skull, the rear of your head will rest at the tips of your thumbs.
    7. As if you were in the Downward-Facing Dog position, elevate your hips and straighten your legs.
    8. When your hips are as close to your shoulders as possible, slowly walk your feet in that direction.
    9. The pose’s most challenging step is to lift your feet off the ground.

    Yoga Sirsasana Benefits

    • Stress relief.
    • Increases concentration.
    • Enables more blood to circulate to the eyes.
    • Increases the flow of blood to the scalp and head.
    • Arms and shoulders are strengthened.
    • Enhances Digestion.
    • Helps in the flushing out of the adrenal glands.
    • Reduces fluid accumulation in the feet, ankles, and legs.
